Hi Group. I’ll be in Thailand for 25 days on a 45 day tourist visa, then considering going to Malaysia for 5 days.

I’m Canadian

Going to fly Thai Airways out of Suvarnabhumi Airport

When I come back to Thailand do I get another 45 day stamp?

Thank you in advance for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Canadian traveling on a 45-day tourist visa can leave Thailand for a trip to Malaysia and, upon returning, will receive a new 45-day stamp. The original visa stamp will be cancelled upon leaving Thailand. It's important to note that this process may only be done a couple of times a year.

You can only do this a couple of times a year.

You don't need a visa for 45 days. You are eligible for 45 days visa exempt currently. Note that day you arrive counts as day 1.

Yes you would get another 45 day stamp. Your existing stamp would be automatically cancelled as you left Thailand regardless that there were days “left” on it.
