TLDR : Answer Summary
As a Canadian passport holder, you do not need a visa for a 58-day holiday in Thailand. You will receive a 60-day visa exemption upon arrival, provided you have a return ticket and meet the entry requirements. There is no need to exit and re-enter the country within this period.

You will get 60 days visa exemption. Just make sure you have a return/onward ticked and fill in your TDAC online within (not more) than 3 days before arrival.

With a Canadian passport and no recent history of tourist entries to Thailand, you will receive a 60-day visa exemption and a free entry stamp upon arrival. Your return ticket qualifies as the required onward ticket within the 60-day period.
