There is no such thing as a 30 day tourist visa ;)
You are talking about the 60 day VISA EXEMPT ENTRY program (which has been in effect since July 15, 2024).
The cabinet will discuss the roll back to the 30 day visa exempt entry it used to be next week.

Thai_visa_specialist That's demonstrably untrue. Prior to Covid, one always received a 30-day stamp on arrival. That increased to a 60-day stamp to encourage tourism recovery after Covid. It will apparently soon revert to a 30-day stamp.

tourist visa (60 days) and visa exempt stamp currently 60 days are 2 different things. The Thai Government are considering reducing the visa exempt stamp from 60 days to 30 days. It has not happened yet. There is no talk of reducing the 60 days tourist visaCharles ****************

i prefer to stay with facts and as of now there is no official news about any changes. or do you see anything that is not just hot air? you can go back to early 2025 and find articles in the bangkok post about the visa tightening and reduction of visa exemption to 30 days, etc… has anything happened since then? no. i dont understand why people always take rumors and single opinions of various stakeholders for the 100% one and only truth.James ********

If so there is no date as yet ,just talk that they plan to don't because of bad behaviour from farangs.
