Hi all, I’d just like to get confirmation that if my Thai wife and I enter Thailand before 31/3/23, I will be given 45 days on visa exemption. I can’t imagine trips have to be concluded by 31/3/23, but the wording on the UK and Thai sites are slightly vague. My wife is keen to apportion blame when things go wrong!
Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks confirmation on receiving a 45-day visa exemption upon entering Thailand before March 31, 2023. According to a comment, entering Thailand on or before that date qualifies for the visa exemption, with the arrival day counting as day one. There is mention of a proposal to extend this exemption, but it remains unofficial.
Brandon, just sneaking in here, oz passport is up for renewal, have made booking, what documents do I need to bring to Bangkok and do you pay cash or card TIA
you can use a visa debit card to pay AUD. As for documents you need passport photos taken. I would do it first at the recommended shop in Sathorn. The embassy site has info
then you are betting 3 weeks of time that they won't be rejected in Canberra. They are very fussy. A 10 minute trip to Sathorn from the embassy is a better bet.
