Can I apply for a tourist visa to return to Thailand for job interviews if I intend to work?

ORIGINAL POSTER
So i have already posted about my dilemma a few weeks ago. I was denied entry via Don Muang for having already 2 border crossings and 1 tourist visa this year. So i was sent back to Cambodia.

I have worked in Thailand for quite some time before and just took a year off when all the strict enforcing started (or that I was aware of as i have always been on non b work permit for last 6 years). I am not a repeat offender of border runs all my time in Thailand..just this one year i took time off thinking i was within the guidelines.

so I immediately started job hunting and got 6 places that wanted to meet me in person in Bangkok (I requested skype interviews but they want in person)...but i cant return to meet because i cant get in and i cant get in because not working (and tourist visa used up). Catch 22 where i want to work and can easily get a job but i cant meet to interview with anyone outside of Thailand.

My visa question is if I apply for a tourist visa (it is clearly to get me back in so i can interview and get back to work....i have had job offers but I must be already there to seal the deal) is it a bad idea to tell them that I do want to work and will be looking for a job.... because the TV isnt for that but there isnt any other way to get in that i know of given my situation?

Thanks for any light you can shed on this.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a dilemma after being denied entry into Thailand due to multiple border crossings and previous visa usage. They are looking for advice on whether it is appropriate to apply for a tourist visa to return for job interviews, given their intention to seek employment, which goes against the typical use of a tourist visa.
