Hello I have a dtv visa and my wife as dependent on me. Now we applied on 19.dezember for our newborn son in Frankfurt Germany. Since 19.Dezember it’s on document check. Since that nothing happened. As a proof of the money we send a record from both our bank a count where is more then the requested amount.
We booked a flight for 29.january so we running out of time. Also on an email I send them they won’t reply ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has applied for a dependent visa for their newborn son in Frankfurt, Germany, while holding a DTV visa, but the application has been in document check since December 19. They are concerned because they have a flight booked for January 29 and have not received any updates or responses to their email inquiries. Community members advise patience, sharing their own experiences regarding processing times, but emphasize that the Frankfurt consulate is often slow to respond and recommend checking for any missed communication.
It took 18 days for my children after I applied for them as dependents on my DTV. It’s different than a newborn of course. But Frankfurt is slow. But you will be fine I guess. They came back to us 10 days before our scheduled flight
Anonymer Teilnehmer 421 did you apply in Frankfurt as well ?
I’m glad it worked out for your family. Actually it’s the same for newborn as for older children until 18. only taking a picture for the passport was a little bit more tricky 😅
the Frankfurt consulate general is known for not picking up phone calls. Ask them per email. Also check your Spam folder, they might have asked you for further documents
I did already. They also don’t reply to emails. And they didn’t ask for further documents. I would see that when I login on the platform. Because this was the case when I applied for the dtv for myself
yes sir. I’m doing this application process the third time so I’m pretty sure I got everything correctly. Otherwise they would ask for further documents or cancel die application
