Can I re-enter Thailand by land with a tourist visa after multiple visa-exempt entries?

Hello, I am going to leave Thailand and re-enter by land.

I have already done it twice this year, with visa exemption. This time I return with a real tourist visa made at the Thai consulate in Kuala Lumpur.

I know that we have the right to do it twice maximum, by land, with visa exemption but does this apply with a real tourist visa? Would I have any problems re-entering Thailand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is inquiring about re-entering Thailand by land after holding a tourist visa obtained in Kuala Lumpur. They seek clarification on any limitations related to previous entries under visa exemption, emphasizing their concern about potential issues upon re-entry with a valid tourist visa. Responses suggest that there are no restrictions on entering Thailand by land with a tourist visa, contrasting it with the two-entry limit applicable to visa-exempt entries. Additional comments highlight potential risks and concerns regarding immigration scrutiny based on the user's entry history.

Suggest you get the correct visa for your planned stay in Thailand. Even with a Thai tourist visa, you still can be questioned by Thai Immigration Officers upon arrival and DENIED ENTRY. With your recent history of Entry and staying in Thailand, I believe you are at risk. Good Luck ๐Ÿ€

And it appears that you have been living in Thailand since 2022... Be careful... As you are now using a ๐Ÿ†• New passport, the Thai Immigration Officers still see your entire history. As the computers now link together All of your passports.

Hi! Could I ask you how long it took you to get the Thai tourist visa in KL? Last year when I checked, they said a minimum of 4 weeks, which seemed outrageously long for such a visa. Thanks!

Iโ€™ve a French passport; I hope it will take not too long. On the website of ambassy, they say it takes 2 business days.

let us know if you are issued the new Thai tourist visa at KL. They are known to deny those who have a recent history of entry and extension stamps in their passport.

that is because of YOUR PASSPORT NATION. Some require 4 weeks to process. Most don't.

the limit on land entries is when you enter "free stamp" (visa exempt) entry

There is no limit to land entries when you enter on a real visa from a consulate
