I am currently residing in BKK on Non-B visa and work permit, finally collected 3 months of tax payments to get my Non-B extended to a full year. However, social fund dept just informed me that being a company shareholder, I am not able to join social fund despite me already paid since Jan 18. So will that affect my extension as my last visit to immigration dept, payment for tax and social fund is listed as pre-requisite for my visa extension?
hope someone can give me some valuable advice. thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster, currently on a Non-B visa and work permit in Bangkok, is seeking advice regarding the impact of being a company shareholder on their visa extension. They have been informed by the social fund department that, as a shareholder, they cannot join the social fund, which they previously paid since January. The poster is concerned that this may affect their visa extension since tax and social fund payments are prerequisites according to immigration regulations. Comments from the community suggest that immigration may recognize this situation and that certain requirements might still be met despite not being eligible for social security contributions as a shareholder.
Unfortunately Non-B visa extensions of stays are beyond my meager skill-set :/ That's because most people have their company or their accountant prepare their document packet before they go to the immigration office for their extension. I honestly have no idea what is or isn't required. Although I know you can go to Section M at Chaengwattana and get the hand out that lists the required documentation needed for a yearly extension. Keep in mind most people I know get a 30 day under consideration stamp when they apply for their extension and then go back and get the yearly extension inked in.
Immigration would know that if you are share holder that you're not eligible for SSO payments and enroll in their system. So I would say because you can not meet this requirement due to Thai laws it would be no problem for Immigration. But lets see what
The subject matter is too complex in the ways the Thai Government Departments handle it for an untrained foreigner to get through the process.
I went through this process last year with the assistance of an accountant / visa agent. Having first hand experience - I read what you write and read how you explain it all tells me that you do not have a clue. So thrash about all want - after having enough of going back and forth with you the I/O will just quit working on it
"Social fund" what on earth are you talking about? You should get a qualified Visa Agent because it seems you do not understand anything that is going on about you.
I had been to Cheang Wattana like 10 times and every time when it seemed everything is in place for getting my Non-B to be extended to a full year, something new will crop up.
Thomas Low FYI I don’t even do my personal taxes on a monthly basis. I do mine on a yearly basis on the company fiscal year for closing of account. I think it will be good if you can get a good account company to handle your company accounting. I’m not talking about staff you hire as to handle your daily accounting. They know nothing. For sure.
