I tried hard to see if this question has already been asked so my apologies if it has

I am the director of a company and my visa is set to expire on May 5, I’m currently on a 90 day non immigrant B, and I know that it is going to be extended to July 31 however, I will be applying for the one year non immigrant b come July

My question is if I close my company for two months due to the crisis and apply for the one year in July, will it affect the requirement that I need to have four Thai employees working for a minimum of three months before the application or has rule been put into place to help companies Any help would be very much appreciated thank you very much

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a company director on a 90-day Non-Immigrant B visa, inquires whether closing their company for two months due to a crisis will impact their eligibility for the one-year Non-Immigrant B visa, particularly regarding the requirement to have four Thai employees for at least three months. Community responses suggest that there are currently no leniencies or amnesties regarding these requirements, and the user should confirm their options with authorities as their situation evolves.

It seems like this post is going into Thai Business Advice, which isn't the purpose of this group. It seems like the OP got some good advice. I'm closing comments, if someone wants to add something of value, please send one of the mods a message. Thank you.

There is only an amnesty for people who did not get out on time and have to stay longer then allowed by their date stamps in the passport.

There is no amnesty or extra leniency for the requirements to apply for any of the Extension of Stay options.

OK I understand and actually I am in Bangkok right now however I was just wondering if it was possible to close up the company for a little bit of time, apparently not, But we will trudge onwards thank you very very much for your information and advice 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

At the moment you have two options.

Or you close the company, return the Work Permit to the Ministry of Labor and ask what there rules are during this pandemic.

Wait out until you can come back into Thailand and leave to get a new Non Immigrant B visa and use the amnesty rule.

Or apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on employment in Thailand and you can keep the company open and work in Thailand.
