What are the implications of applying for a Non-B visa with unpaid taxes, and are there alternatives to extend my COVID visa?

Hello everyone. Just trying to look for answers.

I was supposed to extend my Non-B visa two weeks ago but it can't be extended anymore as I was told that I haven't been paying taxes for a year. Currently, I am on a covid visa.

My questions are:

1. If I want to apply for a Non B visa under a different employer, what are the repercussions knowing that I haven't been paying taxes?

2. Will I get any other form of visa extension after my covid visa expires?

Thank you so much.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking advice on applying for a Non-B visa under a new employer despite having unpaid taxes, and also inquires about possible visa extensions after their current COVID visa expires. It was advised that paying any owed taxes could resolve issues with visa applications.

Just pay your taxes. As soon as you have the receipt from filing and paying, you are fine. You have a tax number, and that can not be changed, even though you change employers, or you are supposed to have a tax number. The best thing you can do is just pay all your years of back taxes.

No, it is not your SSO number. Did your first employer give you the receipt from paying? It will have your tax number on it. You get them from the revenue department in the district you live in. You can go there, with your passport, and they can look up your number, and give you a new card with it. The easiest is to just tell them that your old employer paid it, and now you moved, and they are gone out of business, so they never gave it to you.

thank you for your answer. Is my SSO number same as my tax number?

I first employer used to pay taxes for me. The recent one didn't paid for it so I'm quite- for a better word, ignorant to this.
