Will a 30-day exemption to Thailand cause issues if I plan to extend my stay by 30 days?

I know this gets asked a lot and i do not know where to find the answer except to ask again. I apologize for that.

When you fly to Thailand for 30 days exemption, knowing you plan to file an extension for another 30 days, because your departure flight is approximately 35 days after your arrival, will the extra 5 days affect or cause issue on your TDAC and immigration upon entry?   Or if questioned, will they accept verbal that you will apply for the extension…?

My son filed ￼for 60 day tourist visa, to avoid the hassle of having to file for an extension but it has not been approved yet and i see various rejections so trying to be proactive, in case something does not go right.

Don't enter return fight on TDAC - its not required.

Immigration doesn't care.

It's your AIRLINE you have to ask (and satisfy if necessary), as they are the ones boarding you at your original departure.

Ok. We will see if the visa comes through prior but that is ridiculous that an airline can dictate my trip, if i am allowed to apply for an extension.

Airline won't let him board without a visa, get a cheap bus ticket out the country before 30 days to show the airline at check in

I'm flying with Emirates and they will not let me board without a 60 day visa,OR proof of airline ticket to leave Thailand within the 30 days so please check with your airline

TDAC doesn't require departure info. But airlines might ask for proof of leaving ( train ticket etc )
