I am still deciding over a Single entry Visa or a second Visa exempt after remaining 59 days this year. But my question is, when asking for the Visa or filling TDAC can i put my real exit date ? I plan to stay around 88 days, so i will ask for an extension near the end of the 60 days. Flying in Emirates, they will allow me to change my return date for a (big) fee, so i could buy a ticket with a return in the 60 day interval and then change. But is it necessary to havbe this kind of expense ? Immigration will understand i am able to extend those 60 days . Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering whether to indicate their actual exit date on the TDAC while planning to stay in Thailand for 88 days, questioning the necessity of an onward ticket. Responses clarify that the TDAC departure date is optional and that airlines like Emirates typically allow some flexibility regarding return dates as long as they fall within the 90-day visa exemption. Additionally, insights suggest that a single entry tourist visa may not be the most cost-effective choice for their situation.

Emirates allows you on a visa-exempt flight if your ticket shows that you exit Thailand before the 90th day! So if your return date is on day number 88, that's just fine. Check Emirates website, they have announced this detail

Buy cheap onward travel within your 60 days, that satisfies the airline and Thai Immigration.

You need to apply for the 30 days extention of stay, although rarely refused it's not a given.

So, i will book 3 trips. Two real, the other just to show if necessary. An extra expense but at a low cost...

Why do you have 2 returning tickets?

The single entry tourist visa is just a waste of money in your case and no guarantee of entry. Seen people who could have gotten in visa exempt being asked questions because it perplexes them why someone would use a tv instead of visa exemption

Multiple entry tourist visa is something I would get, but I live in Vietnam when not in Thailand.

You'll rarely be asked for an onward ticket at immigration, but it's possible. Usually, the issue lies with the airline, as some insist on an onward ticket within the allowed entry scheme days, while others don't seem to care.

I don't recall if there is a field in TDAC for returning date. I would prefer to fill it unless it creates a problem.

There are fields for departure info but not mandatory so ignore them.

TDAC has fields for departure date but they are not mandatory as it’s an electronic arrival card. Just leave them blank.
