Does it matter which Thai embassy I apply for the Certificate of Entry (COE) from if I'm a UK citizen currently in Greece?

Hi. I am a UK citizen and planning on coming to Thailand in October, but currently based in Greece. When applying for the COE it is assigning me to the Thai embassy in Greece (because that's where I am flying from) and not the embassy in London. Does that matter at all, or will I need to fly from my home country in order to obtain the COE?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen currently residing in Greece can apply for the Certificate of Entry (COE) from the Thai embassy in Greece regardless of their nationality. It is confirmed by multiple users that the location of the embassy does not affect the COE application as long as the embassy permits non-residents to apply. The user is aiming for a visa-exempt entry, and the responses indicate that there should be no issues with applying from Greece.

If you are departing from Greece, you get the COE from the Greek Embassy. I flew in from New York 2 weeks ago and used the New York Consulate (British citizen) for the COE.

For a COE it doesn’t matter where you apply from, as long as the embassy allows non residents to do so. What visa are you using to apply or are you aiming for visa exempt?
