Hi everyone!

My yearly extension based on being married to a Thai national will expire Feb 14, 2023. And I'd like to extend it.

1) I still need to bank the 400k two months prior the application, right?

2) How many days do I need to have left on my extension to hand in my application? If, let's say 15 days, then the 400k should be in my account by middle/end of November, right?

Thank you!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the process and requirements for extending their yearly extension based on marriage to a Thai citizen, specifically regarding the need to deposit 400,000 THB and the timing for submitting the application. Responses indicated that a deposit is required two months prior and that there is no strict rule on how many days must remain on the current extension to apply, although doing so 30 days before expiration is common practice.

Thank you!

For 2)

Is it "no days left needed" because I'm going to extend the extension? Last year they told me to go hand in the application I think 15 days before my 90-day Non-O visa expiration. At that time I was still on my visa and it was my first extension application.

if you were converting to a Non O visa from a tourist visa or exempt entry then you’d need 15 (some offices 21 days) to apply. If you entered on a non O or are extending then there is no requirement to have any days left on your stamp - although that would be crazy to do. As I said most offices allow 30 days prior (some 45)

thanks for the clarification!

1) Yes two months prior.

2) no amount of days left needed. Can do it on the last day if so desired - although certainly not recommended. Most offices allow 30 days prior.
