Just curious if anyone else has been asked to present an updated bank book during the under consideration period for a non O marriage visa? Due to return on 23 August to collect my visa. Out of the blue today I get a call asking me to bring a copy of my bank book updated today ๐Ÿค”.

TLDR : Answer Summary
It is not uncommon for immigration offices in Thailand to request an updated bank book when you return to collect your NON-O marriage visa after the under consideration period. The requirements can vary by location; some offices, like those in Bangkok and Chang Wattana, often ask for it, while others may not. Responses from the community indicated mixed experiences: some reported being asked for an updated statement while others have not during similar processes. It is advisable to keep the full amount of money in the bank as a precaution in case your application is rejected.

Some offices ask for it when you go back to get the year marriage extension inked in (Bangkok does for sure) but most don't. Believe me they'll either tell you when you apply for the extension, when they come for the home visit or they'll call you if you have to do it

In all the years I did apply for it at various immigrations offices I have never been asked for. And this year at Nan Immigration office I did asked about it and they said "There is no law that tells you that you can not use the money after you applied for it. But .... in case you application is rejected it might be a good idea that you still have the full amount of money so you can re-apply again."

At Chang wattana they ask you to get it updated the day youngo back and pick up the final stamp so in effect making you leave the money in for 3 months. All offices have different rules though!

I got my under consideration stamp 2 weeks ago. So it is common to be asked to bring in another copy before you return for the visa?

YES... Do NOT touch the money .

Must be at least 400.000 in your Thai bank account two months before you apply for the extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai and for the time period (usually one added month) during the Under Consideration period of time.

Need to take copy of your bank book pages updated when you return to Thai immigration to Close out the Under Consideration and get your one year stamp in your passport.
