I was by immigration. I have to leave the Land that's sure. I enter with a Non B Visa and made the last few months the covid extension. I want stay 6 Months more, at least 4 Months. The immigration told me, I have go back to my country (Austria) and apply for the Special education Visa (90 days) this I can extend 2 times.
He told me, it's not possible go to Cambodia, and enter again with the Thailand Pass. I forgotten to ask why. Why I can not enter again from Cambodia?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on why they cannot re-enter Thailand from Cambodia after being told by immigration that they must return to their home country to apply for a Special Education Visa. Community comments discuss various aspects of visa regulations, including the implications of entering with a Non-B Visa, opportunities for extensions, and the importance of consulting the correct Thai and Cambodian embassies for accurate information.
I left Thailand and went to Cambodia February this year, applied 60 days Thai Tourist Visa in Thai Embassy in Cambodia, and then entered Thailand on April 2022, and I extended 30 days after the first 60 days, and today just extended 60 days Covid extension visa at Koh Tao immigration. Everything goes well. I don't know why the staff told you that "can't do in Cambodia", strange, maybe just his personal emotion expression or sth. Today I read someone said this: Don't trust what immigrations in Thailand say about embassies are out of Thailand, and don't trust what embassies out of Thailand say about immigrations in Thailand.
If you would go to Cambodia, the best way is that you call Thai Embassy on Cambodia to confirm.

2 of people i know got covid extensions last week. But this time 6000 baht.
Thailand is the world biggest most corrupt knockshop.... finding the right palm here is like finding a child molester in the Vatican. And thanks to Covid situation things have never been better
I went to my local immigration few days ago, my friend who does not speak very much english was in the same boat it sounds, was on non b for a year then covid came, when it came time to renew they wanted 4 thai staff and social etc to be paid so he did not have tihis and went to covid extension when the full covid thing happend, that was march last year, now they say unless he goes back and does his full non b and workpermit etc, which he cant his business is gone he needs to leave before 25th, they will only give him a 7 day extension, they also noted that if he for say went to cambodia and tried to come back on visa exempt or on arrival they would see the covid extensions and his last non b and would not grant him entry , my experience a few days ago

Can be extended again but you need a Thailand pass to get back in
Your best bet is probably check the ED Visa . I know it is expensive, but flying back to Austria then applying for Thai Pass which means Booking SHA Hotels paying for Covid test before you get on plane and 2 Covid tests 5 days apart once you get back to Thailand then on top of that cost of STV and Covid Insurance it will also be expensive. You may be able to get a 6 month Ed Visa for a little less than a 1year.
yes... You're so right... I am glad that it was possible to safe a little bit, but I don't know if it's enough. I will take a look how much I have to pay for 6 months if they offer this
the amount of money is not how much it costs to get the visa. It is how much you must pay to enroll in a school. The visa extension each 90 days is only bt1900, but the minimum I have heard for any school is bt20,000. When I went to language school, to get an ED visa you had to pay for at least 160 hours of language school teaching. Then after you got your ED visa it had to be extended every 90 days using the documents the school gave you proving you were in fact going to school. The big thing though is if you've only got a few weeks left on your covid extension you don't really have enough time to change over inside Thailand. And, if you went to get another covid extension and they said no, and put a stamp in your passport saying you must leave within seven days then you must leave.
I just asked today, I have no stamp. Have time until the 16. I asked now a Language school and they told me that they have to wait of information from the government. So they can't offer a ED Visa at time.
Because you can only apply for the STV, Special Tourist Visa, in your home country. You can get a Single Entry Tourist Visa in Cambodia. Two different visas.
No, you could get an ED visa in country, get a new job in country, get married.

Via Cambodia the most you can get is 90 days (60+30). If you want longer as a tourist (not working or studying) you can apply in your home country for STV which is 90+90+90.
50k??? I have fight a lot for this money, don't think this will be possible for the next 2 weeks ๐ฎโ๐จ

Isi Zechmeister. Someone has reported on a 3-day Cambodian turnaround. It's probably cheaper than the dodgy 50k ED visa, but obviously requires a bit more legwork
Isi Zechmeister. Go to Thai visa advice Facebook group. You'll find the report there with a more detailed account of how the poster did this and the contact details. I can't post the link here because Garrett gets upset with me posting links ๐
