I had non-b and workpermit, quit the job and changed to covid visa. Now have new job and need change back to non-b. Do I have to leave Thailand and go to a Thai embassy to get non-b?
When I initially cam to Thailand in 2013 I had to go to embassy outside of Thailand to get non-b
When I quit my job I then changed to vonlinteer visa and when got née job I changed back to non-b but did not have to leave Thailand (but that was during Covid)
So I wonder how is situation now
Any productive advice is much appreciated
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the process of switching back to a Non-B visa after transitioning to a COVID visa and quitting their job. They previously obtained a Non-B visa from a Thai embassy outside Thailand and experienced a different process during COVID. A comment clarified that the process is contingent upon the new employer's ability to meet immigration documentation requirements; otherwise, the user may need to leave Thailand to apply for a Non-B visa abroad.
That is something between your new employer and the immigration department to resolve. If they can’t meet the requirements of documentation needed then you’ll need to leave and apply for a non B abroad - which has a lots less requirements for documentation.
BOI status companies are usually handled via a different system. Not up on that route as been out of that loop for years. Generally it’s about how the company has been formed, the composition of employees, tax returns and the like.
