Hey hey,
I am a business owner here in Thailand with 24,5% (Hotel & Restaurant Business) and want to apply for a work permit as a general manager and a Non Immigrant B. I came here on a single entry Non - B which was valid until the 11.06.20.
We hired a lawyer to get me through the process of staying here without leaving the country but he was just promising to get it done until the end of this month. Just to find out today that he can’t do it. Is there any way at the moment to apply for a Non-B Visa without leaving the country? I know if usually have to but maybe the Thai Gouvernement changed this recently.
Sorry, this might have been asked a lot lately but it’s very confusing and I am kind of desperate because I want to stay here and work for my business in these difficult times
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a business owner in Thailand, is facing difficulties in applying for a Non Immigrant B visa as their current single-entry visa has expired. They hired a lawyer for assistance, who ultimately could not help in time. The user wants to know if it's still possible to apply for a work permit and a new Non-B visa without leaving the country, especially given the challenges during the current situation. Comments suggest contacting a visa agency, emphasizing that applying for an extension is only possible if the visa hasn't expired, and highlighting the importance of having legal status to process work permits.
