Hey guys, I’m currently staying in Thailand on a three month non-b visa. I want to go to Cambodia for the weekend, but I’m worried about visa issues. Will I be able to come back in to Thailand and keep my remaining months or will it screw up?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you're staying in Thailand on a three-month NON-B visa and plan to travel to Cambodia, you must obtain a re-entry permit to retain your remaining visa duration. This permit must be acquired from an immigration office before leaving; it cannot be purchased at the land border. Additionally, ensure you get properly stamped upon entry into Cambodia.

Get reentry permit before going, then you'll be good πŸ‘

at your local immigrations branch. Unlike airports, you can NOT get it at land borders.

You need to purchase a re-entry permit before you leave or you'll forfeit the remainder of your visa time as soon as you leave the country. You cannot purchase this at a land border if you plan on going by land, so you'll need to go to your immigration office to get it beforehand if that's the case.

Also, if you're going by land, avoid using the Poipet border. They love to deny entry to people trying to enter Thailand thereby forcing them to travel to Siem Riep and fly back to Thailand.

but he is not coming on exemption. He has non-B and reentry.

Poi Pet is notorious for turning people away for *any* reason, and is best avoided.

The border guards seem to have a grift going with local Cambodian mafia. There are several reports of people walking away from the checkpoint, only for two Cambodians to appear out of nowhere, offering them the service of "helping" them, for a fee.

please pay attention yourself, mate. Brandon warned him for the strictness at Poi Pet. That's a visa exemption thing. There's no such risk with non-B and re-entry.

with non-B and re-entry there is no ground for refusing entry on any basis.
