TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing difficulties booking an online appointment for an extension of their retirement visa at a Bangkok immigration office, noting that all available dates in December and January are fully booked. Responses indicate that this situation is common, as appointment slots are limited and can fill up quickly. It is advised to check the website just after midnight for availability and to consider waiting in line as a backup. Additionally, it's clarified that a retirement visa cannot be renewed, but rather an extension of stay based on age can be applied for.

You cannot renew a Reirement visa. When it reaches its expire date, the visa is finished and is not renewable. You will be applying for an extension of stay based onm being over 50 years. You may say semantics, but if you ntend to stay long term in Thailand, you need to know and understand the correct terminology.

That is quite normal. Appointment slots are open only up to 30 days. Slots on the next day are available at midnight. And slots are booked up quite fast in Bangkok. You may want to try just after midnight.

Also, people sometimes cancel their booking, then slots become available from time to time, so you may keep watching.
