Hi, we are a married couple over 50 from uk, my husband has just got a retirement visa, the immigration in Phuket have said if I get a non o visa outside Thailand I will then be able to extend joining with his visa, the question is does anyone know where I can do this, we are already here, London has said they would but we don’t plan to visit uk until July
Second question if I can’t get a non o in a nearby country can I get refused entry on repeated visa exemption and extensions
Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, a married couple over 50 from the UK, inquired about how to obtain a Non-O visa to join her husband who has a retirement visa. She is already in Thailand and learned that she can extend her stay by obtaining this visa from a consulate outside Thailand. However, there is no nearby consulate that will issue a Non-O visa if their application is based on their husband's retirement status. Additionally, the user seeks clarity on the implications of repeated visa exemption entries and potential refusal of entry. The comments suggest various options, including making use of visa exemptions until their planned return to the UK in July.

Did your husband get his visa from a thai consulate in your country BEFORE you two winged your way here OR did he get everything done after he was here?
Sadly for you there is no consulate in a nearby country that will sell a 90 day Non-O visa to you when your husband has a Non-O visa based on retirement.
You can indeed get denied entry if you live here on free 30 day entry stamps & 30 day extensions. Even if you get a tourist visa from a thai consulate nearby you can get denied en
try if they think you're living here on them.
You could probably make it on visa exempt entries/tourist visas and 30 days extensions until you go back to the UK in July though.
You're allowed two free 30 day entries by land in a calendar year, so get a 30 day entry by land, take a 30 day extension, bounce out and back for a new 30 day entry by land, take another 30 day extension, that gives you 4 months
