TLDR : Answer Summary
The question seeks to identify which embassies near Thailand accept a 1-month-old bank statement to fulfill the 500,000 THB bank balance requirement for visa applications. Comments suggest that while some embassies, like in Jakarta, may accept such a statement, it's prudent to provide 3-6 months of statements, as visa rules can change frequently, and ensuring adequate closing balances is essential. Some commenters advise against using embassies in Laos, Vietnam, and Malaysia.
so did you get any idea of what the cutoff point might be? When did thr account in question need to be funded? One, 2, 3, 6 months? Nobody who knows anything about money leaves cash sitting in an account for 6 months… it’s to be expected. And the funding is to cover cost of the 5 years. It shouldn’t matter if the money was in account for 5 mins or 5 years
100% agree with you, but they make the rules so...
In Vientiane the cutoff was 3 months for some and 6 months for others, depending on the netionality. For some people they ask to show them the money via bank application in real-time to believe them. They're getting more strict.
I ask at some people there and they told me. One American told me that he lost the 10k of the visa because he passed the pre-check but they finally deny the visa. Strange that this things are not in the group and many people think that it's a 100% approval rate.
Some Burmese people where rejected also because the money in their bank statements was recently added..
So...
Its true that this Embassy can be easily the Embassy with more applicants. Maybe in other embassies and consulates it's different.
more like almost 2 months .. i can only transfer 3000 CAD per day between my accounts so it will be over 500k THB in a few days .. i was looking on applying on october 21st so about 54 days that my checking account will be over 500k 🤔
Another important thing, 1st of October some embassies and consulates (I think Malasia and Vietnam, but idk if there will be more countries) will change the system to evisa, and the estimated processing time it will be 30 days.
the requirements can change from one day to another. So my recommendation is to wait and see reports until the day you apply. Maybe there will be another better option then than Jakarta.
