Going to embassy tomorrow to apply for a 60day tourist visa. My bank statement is from two weeks ago. Still good? Or need to visit the bank again & get a new one?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is preparing to apply for a 60-day tourist visa at the embassy and inquires whether a bank statement from two weeks ago is still valid for the application. The conversation reveals alternative perspectives on the necessity of a tourist visa, noting that citizens of 93 countries may enter Thailand without a visa for 60 days. Several comments also reference the use of an E-Visa instead of applying for a traditional tourist visa. Additional questions arise, requesting visual confirmation of the visa stamp related to the 60-day validity.

The easier way.

At most embassies you need to use E-visa

Why would you apply for a tourist visa? You don’t state your nationality but for 93 countries you can get a visa exempt entry for 60 days anyway with no visa.

if its multiple entry then its better when trying to stay for a prolonged period rather than border runs on a visa exemption

you will still need to do border bounces with a METV !!

correct but its not frowned upon as much as abusing a single entry visa examption

yes but with the new 60 day exempt can be extended for 30 and of now there doesn’t seem to be a limit as how many border bounces you can do,so pretty much the same as METV but you don’t pay for the initial visa

if you are coming and going frequently the METV is the safest option if you want to avoid being denined entry

for 9 months but like I said nobody knows how many entries you can come in on for the exempt if your coming and going exempt is the way to go unless you have a history of spending a lot of time here
