Hi all,

My friend from Brazil came to Thailand on a visa exemption. They get 90 days on arrival and want to get normal extension, now the question is Chaen Watthana or Muang Thong Thani ? And do Brazilians get 30 day extension ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Brazilian friend in Thailand on a 90-day bilateral visa waiver cannot get a 30-day extension but might be eligible for a 60-day extension due to COVID-19. To apply for this extension, they should visit the Muang Thong Thani (MTT) immigration office, specifically Counter K. Necessary documents include a passport, copies of various immigration documents, a TM30 form, a letter from the embassy regarding travel restrictions, passport photos, and a fee of 1,900 THB.

He did NOT enter on a visa exempt, he entered on a 90 day bilateral visa waiver

>And do Brazilians get 30 day extension ?

No, they do not get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism. He *MAY BE ABLE* get a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

He would go to MTT, Counter K, to apply for the 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

He can make a reservation at

3. The forms that can be found in the files section of the group
