This question is related to proving the 800k baht balance 2 months before renewing a non O. What is the best way to do this if not in Thailand exactly 2 months before non O expiration? Would a bankbook update at the machine work ( e.g. having a relative there make the update to the bankbook) or would a bank statement showing the balance at that exact time but printed right before the visa appointment be sufficient? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
To prove the required 800k baht balance for a NON-O visa extension while not in Thailand, you need to provide 12 months of bank statements to show the balance history, ensuring it has been at or above 800,000 baht for the necessary period. While a bankbook update done by a relative may suffice, it's generally recommended to obtain an official bank statement just before the visa appointment, which can often be requested using banking apps.

I don't need that because I currently travel three times a year with the TR60. But since this statement comes directly from the bank, it should be accepted. This is what the next page looks like if you continue in the app. I might order it sometime to look at it.
I’ve read reports that immigration won’t accept the statement generated like that. Since you haven’t used it you don’t know either. Shouldn’t assume things with no experience
You have to provide 12 full months of bank statements that will show your balance across the past 12 months, because they have to make sure you met the requirements of your previous extension: Balance remains at 800,000 for 3 months after you receive your extension and never drops below 400,000 the rest of the year.
In this statement they will also see that your bank account was at 800,000 for the 2 months before you apply for your new extension.
You should go to your immigration office and ask them for the handout of requirements for your extension. You should do this each year as they sometimes change. That will give you time to gather everything. Usually some of the bank stuff takes a few days for them to get.
Good advice. At Bangkok Bank my 12-month statement took, I believe, 3 business days. I had to return & pick it up. I had not been aware of that, assumed I could just go there & get it on the spot. So leave yourself enough time.
