Just a question. If you apply for a extension of stay (30 days) before your visa expires and they DENY it and give you 7 days to leave the country. Do these 7 days start when you applied for extension, or do they add it on to when your visa is supposed to expire??? Thanks in advance :) hope you have a lovely day!

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you apply for a 30-day extension of stay before your visa expires and it is denied, you will have 7 days to leave Thailand starting from the day after your visa expires, not the day you applied for the extension. For example, if your current visa expires on the 15th and your extension is denied, the 7-day countdown begins on the 16th and runs until the 22nd.

Sorry I thought you were saying you were applying for an extension 30 days BEFORE you current one ran out.

NOT that you were applying for a 30 day extension :/

If your stamp runs out - for example - on day 15th, and you are denied the 30 day extension and just got 7 days to leave the Country, these 7 days starts on day 16th (in our example case) and runs out on day 22nd (last day you are allowed to stay). No matter when the 7day permission is stamped in your passport.
