Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows how much time I have to leave Thailand after my visa expires before I get charged a daily fee? I've heard some people say 7 days and some say 48 hours. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
You must leave Thailand before 11:59 PM on the day your visa expires to avoid overstaying. While it is possible that the officer may waive the fee for the first day of overstay, you will be marked as overstay and will incur fees starting from the second day. If you apply for an extension and it gets denied, you are typically given 7 days to leave the country.

Never Overstay ! You are at great risk if you do. Apply for extension at immigration. If denied you usually get 7 days to leave Thailand. 1,900 Thai baht fee.

You must leave before 11:59PM on the day your entry expires. The officer may waive the first day's fee (at the discretion of the officer) but you will still be marked as overstay. You will definitely start paying fees on the 2nd day.
