I am interested to find out the recent experience of people using the Thai E-Visa [members only]/ for their Non-O retirement visa, especially if you were here in Thailand when you made the request.
I obtained a Non-O visa and one year extension through an agent last year and I will be unable to request another year extension in November since I had to withdraw most of my funds for cancer treatment in the US earlier this year.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The post seeks recent experiences of individuals applying for the Thai E-Visa for a Non-O retirement visa, specifically mentioning the challenge of applying while being in Thailand. A commenter notes that one must be outside Thailand to apply for a visa through the embassy, highlighting that the application requires the applicant to declare their physical location. Another commenter adds that obtaining a Non-O visa within Thailand involves depositing 800,000 baht in a Thai bank and applying at a local immigration office.
