Is it best for me to come and get the 30 days on arrival and then try get the muay thai 90 visa they just released or is there a way to get this before hand?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A British passport holder looking to stay in Thailand for 3 months for Muay Thai training can consider obtaining a 60-day eVisa from the Thai consulate in London before arrival. Following this, they can request a 30-day extension at an immigration office in Thailand, resulting in a total of 90 days. There is discussion about a proposed Muay Thai Education visa, but it has not yet been officially released.

Unless I'm mistaken they did NOT yet release this magical 3 month Muay Thai Education visa, just announced that it was proposed ๐Ÿ˜•

Get a single entry tourist visa online from the thai consulate in London via the eVisa website before you come here. it's all done online, they will email you the PDF that is the visa

Then come in, get stamped in for 60 days and take the one 30 day extension you're allowed for 1900baht at the immigration office. That will give you the 90 days you want

Just checked the eVisa choices for Non-Immigrant type visas (that's where ED visas are listed) and there is no "Study Muay Thai" choice ๐Ÿ™

They do list it under Tourist Visa

but that visa would just stamp you in for 60 days and you'd have to take a 30 day extension, as well
