TLDR : Answer Summary
As a Canadian citizen planning to visit Bangkok for 15 days, you can enter Thailand visa-exempt for up to 60 days. However, make sure to fill out the TDAC arrival card online prior to your arrival. Note that recent immigration practices may include more extensive questioning, so be prepared with any necessary information.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

At this time people from 90+ countries (Canada included) can get in to thailand free stamp (visa exempt) entry for 60 days without purchasing any visa.

There is talk by the thai government that they will reduce the 60 days down to 30 but even if they do that between now and your planned trip here that won't affect your planned stay,
Christer *****
@Tod ********
There's a lot of flip-flopping on that subject right now?
Tod *********
@Christer ****
not so much, they came out a while back and talked about reducing it to 30 days from 60 but then there hasn't been a peep about it since

@Tod ********
From Sweden, going in, the visa was for a period down to thirty. Then they said by 15 July it should be up to 60 again

Sadly
@Christer ****
unless you're talking about entering LAST year (2024) that is 100% false, ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜•

Since July 15th 2024 there are 90+ countries which get stamped in for 60 days (Sweden included)

This is the graphic that shows which countries get in for 60 days free stamp (visa exempt) entry

I'm confused, AI pulls information from for example Siam legal and claims 30 days. It believe they still talk about cutting down due to the amount of crime resulting

@Christer ****
you can be as confused as you want,

Right now the visa exempt entry is 60 days just like it's been for those 90+ countries since July 15, 2024.

Now whether they will shorten it to 30, no one knows, and there's been nothing official about it

With all the bad information out on the inter-web about entry/visa/extension to thailand I wouldn't doubt that AI gets it wrong.

Bad data equals bad info out ๐Ÿ™

I'm telling you how it is right now, you can believe me or not ๐Ÿ™‚
