Can I use my METV visa to enter Thailand for multiple stays and how long can I extend each stay?
This might sound stupid, please don’t be mean 😜 My brain is frazzled from visa searches!
My question….
If I have an METV visa for Thailand can I enter for 60 days, extend by 30 days (making it 90). Then leave and go to Vietnam for 45 days, return to Thailand for 60 days on my same METV visa and extend that by 30 again. Meaning two stays in Thailand of 90 days but over a 7 1/2 month period?

Poppy Smith the reduction from 60 to 30 days visa exempt has not been implemented, yet. Wait for the publication in the Royal Gazette, and count from there 15 days, that's how long it will take for the 30 days visa-exempt to get implemented

Every entry on an METV gets you stamped in for 60 days and can be extended by 30 days during the validity of the visa

METV is valid for 180 days from issue. You can use it to enter as many times as you like within the validity period. Each entry gets you 60 days and you can extend that once at an immigration office for 30 days.
How you space the entries/extensions is up to you.
If you enter just before (or even on) the expiry date you’ll get a 60 day entry and can extend that too.
That gives the METV a possible just under 9 months of stay depending on how long prior to entry it was issued.
