One other question, so thanks to the group we now know that we will come into Thailand on a visa exemption, get our 30 day extension then fly out and back in for another 45 day exemption, the question is: do we need to have the flight for the 2nd exemption booked before we initially arrive? Tia

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about whether a flight out of Thailand must be booked prior to arriving for an initial visa exemption and if the same rule applies for a subsequent entry under a second visa exemption. Responses suggest that airlines may require proof of onward travel for both entries.
For your initial entry your airline may ask for a flight out within the initial number of days you’d be allowed. At that stage they’re not going to care that you may re-enter Thailand.
For your second entry you may find the same. A ticket out may be required.
