Hi Group .. a friend from Canada arrived in Chiang Mai last week on VOA. He lost his passport and is now in the process of getting a new one. What does he need to do to put his entry stamp back on the new passport? TIA ๐

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user from a community shared that after losing a passport while on a visa exempt entry in Chiang Mai, the individual needs to report the loss to the police. Once he receives a new passport, he should take both the new passport and the police report to the immigration office (ideally in the same province where he originally obtained his entry stamp) to have the entry stamp replaced.

If your friend is from Canada then he doesn't have visa on arrival, he has visa exempt.
He has to make a police report about the lost passport. Then once he has a new one he needs to take it along with the police report to immigration (preferably in the same province he got the entry stamp) and get it replaced.
