What should my wife do after her DTV visa application was rejected in Seoul?

Hello, my wife is a Korean citizen. She has been living in the Czech Republic for some years on an EU family member residence card (the temporary 5-year one). Prague told us in writing that she can't apply from here after the 31 Aug changes, so she went back to Korea to apply for the DTV (Workcation) in Seoul.

Seoul sent her a Request Document asking for: 1. household register

2. an entry/exit record for the last year

3. every page of her passport

The same day she uploaded those documents, she was rejected without a reason.

Is she effectively blocked from applying anywhere? What could be behind the refusal? I assume it has to be one of the documents they asked for, or not?

Thanks a lot for any help or info 🙏

What about the DTV specific things? Was a soft-power? Remote worker? Did she had strong documents, such as a 1-year course or an employer letter? As it's free for Koreans, I'll check that and apply again.

Elías Molina I am sure the other documents were fine. Unless she was asked to provide further documents for no reason.

GorgeousLychee6002 Don't be so sure. If they say she's not elegible it's because they didn't deem her course or remote work required a DTV. Remember Koreans can stay for up to 120 days at a time without a visa in Thailand (90 days entry + 30 days extension)

Elías Molina We are small business owners and wanted to stay longer than 120 days. And all the requirements listed for the visa were met as far as I can tell.

I guess she doesn't have an entry and exit record for the last year, other than her single most recent entry?

Did she actually get a "Certificate of entry and exit"?

Does she have a current "Resident Registration Certificate"?

Yes, the official Certificate of Entry & Departure shows only one entry, this October. She has a current English Resident Registration Certificate showing her as a resident at her family address. She also attached a cover letter explaining she lives in Czechia on a temporary EU family-member card.

Elías Molina Well I didnt see how that would end up being an issue. As you are forced to apply where you hold permanent residency. Not where you live...

Yeah, it might have been. We added it because her passport only shows expired Czech visas. I guess we overexplained. Anyway, what would you say our options are now?
