Hi everyone.

I'm soon going to myanmar for a Visa run.

Leaving from Bkk, where should I cross the border?

Do I have to spend a night there?

Any agency going there?

Thanks! Have a good day

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is planning a visa run to Myanmar and is seeking advice on border crossing, whether an overnight stay is required, and agency recommendations. Responses indicate that the Phu Nam Ron - Htee Kee border crossing is preferred, and overnight stays may not be necessary if simply doing a border bounce. Agencies like ThaiVisaService.com are suggested for assistance with the process.

Here's my advice:

1. Bounce in and out at Phu Nam Ron - Htee Kee. Use either ThaiVisaService.com or do it yourself.

2. When you come back, get the right visa for your stay, as soon as possible. You only have two visa exempts by land in a calendar year, and if you don't get the proper visa, you will have to get a tourist visa to stay here in March or April.

and each border hop gives OP 30 days stay which can be extended 30 days at Thai Immigration 1,900 Thai baht. That gives Manu up to 4 months stay.

Question: What's your nationality? That might restrict you on which border you can use.

Is it actually a visa trip or a border bounce?

I'm back from chaeng wattana, just extended my tourist Visa for another 30 day. So I'll have to leave the country within the beginning of march.

If he's asking if he has to stay the night, I'm assuming he's referring to a border bounce. All visas require at least spending the night in a foreign country.

good point,
@Manu ***
you know you can't get a VISA to thialand at that border, you can only get a visa exempt entry stamp OR activate another entry on a currently valid multi-entry visa.

You do not spend the night, you cross at the Phu Nam Ron - Htee Kee border with Myanmar in Kanchanaburi Province. It costs 960 to get driven across no mans land, stamped in and out of Myanmar then driven back so you can stamp back into thailand.

Can he? What's his nationality? If he's South African for example, he can't use that border.

The only place to get a visa in Myanmar is at the Thai Embassy in Yangon.
