Has anyone here done a border-run at Kanchanaburi/Myanmar for a 30-day visa exemption very recently? Could you comment on your experience especially Canadian passport holders? I'm supposed to go this coming week

TLDR : Answer Summary
Community members shared their experiences regarding border runs to Kanchanaburi and Myanmar, particularly for obtaining a 30-day visa exemption. One user mentioned that the process is straightforward, costing around 960 THB for transportation across the border. They highlighted that the Thai government allows reentry only for those who will let you back in. Another user detailed an option using SWD Transport from Bangkok for 2,000 THB, which includes all costs.
, okay, IF you slog to the Phu Nam Ron border with Myanmar in Kanchanaburi province by yourself, it costs you 960 to get your passport stamped in and out of Myanmar and brought back to you. AND you have the price to get there and back
OR
You can use SWD Transport out of Bangkok which charges 2K baht and takes you there and back and all the costs are covered

I've done it, very easy, very common border for people to use. It's 960 THB for the van to take you across the border, stamped, and return. The Thai government will not let people use this border unless they can let you back in.
Even for passport holders of countries recently put on watch? Or, maybe they were smart enough not to try border bouncing right now and find other means like leaving the country altogether. Apart from your overstay penalty fees, were there any other costs to the 960 baht? The company I'm supposed to use is charging 2000 baht
