I applied as a Bulgarian for a DTV over a month ago. No additional documents were requested. Application stuck in Pending Approval for 2 weeks. Application is processed through the Bucharest Thai Embassy.
Since the visa wasn't issued in time for my entry, I had to do a chargeback with my credit card (website states up to 21 working days is what takes for the processing of the visa).
For Bulgarians and Romanians - please beware.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A Bulgarian expat outlines their experience applying for a DTV visa at the Bucharest Thai Embassy, noting that their application has been pending for over two weeks without further document requests. They had to initiate a chargeback due to not receiving the visa in time for their entry into Thailand. Comments highlight that processing times can exceed a month, caution against chargebacks as they may hinder future visa applications, and stress the importance of researching embassy processing times and requirements.
Your charge back of the DTV visa fee may result in your future inability to get a Thai Visa. Not a wise decision to charge back. Especially if you plan to ever get a Thai Visa in your future.

No matter what nationality or which Embassy applying at,
READ THE EMBASSY WEBSITE
before applying and leave room for at least 25% longer processing time ( donโt forget that the Embassy are closed on Thai and national holydays)
You need to stay in the country where applied, until visa is granted.
I applied at the beginning of December๐ Given that we need to enter within 60 days of issuance, how am I supposed to know how to time application? Anyway, I am flying to Australia in March and will be applying from there..
it's up to the bank/card company to grant it, and I think that unless the OP lies on the complaint, the bank wouldn't accept to give it. Either way, that's unrelated with the Embassy, as I think they'd get the money anyway, wouldn't they?
there's no such a thing as the entering within 60 days of issuance, yes for other visas, not for the DTV. Anyway, you can apply at Australia. I've heard it's extremely expensive there, or was it NZ?
there is no "enter within 60 days of being issued" stipulation.

It's well known it can take more than a month. Also, the money is not for the visa, but for the processing of it. Be either granted or rejected, you're paying for them to actually review your application.
