I’m on a US passport and have a single entry Non-B visa with work permit as it was issued a month ago so I am still within the first 90-days.
I have a family emergency in the US and need to travel back next week. I understand I can get a reentry permit at the airport before I leave from BKK Airport. I have three questions.
1. Is it a pretty straightforward process, as in I don’t have to worry about not being able to get it?
2. What do I need exactly to get it?
3. Can I do this a day or two before hand or do I need to get it the day of? My flight leaves at 7am. Would rather get it before hand if possible.
Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining a reentry permit at the airport before leaving Thailand on a Non-B visa is generally straightforward. You will not be able to get the reentry permit days in advance, as it must be obtained either at the local Thai Immigration office during business hours or at the airport on the day of your departure. To obtain the permit at the airport, you need your passport, your boarding pass, and 1,200 Thai baht for the fee. Make sure to allocate extra time at the airport in case of lines at the Reentry Permit Desk.
I believe that the OP has the answers needed for his question. We wish him success in obtaining the Reentry permit at the BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport... safe travels ✈️.
Just go to immigration and get one if not the airport is fine give yourself 30 extra minutes in case there is a line if your leaving from DMK tell the IO you need one when stamping out
YOU CANNOT get the re-entry permit at the BKK Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok DAYS BEFORE your flight.
You can get it from your local Thai Immigration office during regular business hours.
YOU CAN get it at the airport when you fly out.
Look for the Re-entry Permit Desk near the Thai Immigration checkpoint. IF its not manned, ask a Thai Immigration Officer and they will open it for you.
Just have your passport and airplane flight boarding pass... For the fee of 1,200 Thai baht the Re-entry desk person will take your photo and enter the needed information for the Reentry permit. And places the Reentry permit stamp in your passport.
