Got asked for translated company documents and bank statements with my name on them.
everything handed in during last week.
Aswell as the request for the 6 Month Proof: of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least 6 months, such as a condominium rental agreement, lease agreement etc.
I made 2 90 days booking in a hotel and im curious, if there are any positive expirience with that in KL.
Since they are so strict, im scared.
And no my Name is not Ugur, its Simon and im from Germany.
High payd professionell with all proves and finacial stabilty...
Just in case, if they dont accept that i dont know what to do anymore.
Because signing and paying for a house or condo upfront, without ever visiting it is so much to ask for...

TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat from Germany is awaiting approval for a DTV visa in Malaysia. They submitted required documents, including translated company documents and proof of residency, but are anxious about the process due to Malaysia's strict visa regulations. They are inquiring about the acceptance of hotel bookings as proof of residency and share their fear over potentially not getting the visa, considering the risks of pre-signing a lease without visiting a property.
Hotel booking is acceptable. Kl is infamous for strict approval. You have given what they wanted so hopefully you get a positive reply soon. You can apply elsewhere if you receive a no. Lot more friendly embassies to apply from in SE Asia
There is nothing "strict" about asking extra stuff that is not required by the rules. E.g. having been in Thailand before for 180 days and proof of that.
i mean things such as having to pay 6 months of rent in Thailand upfront before the visa is approved or having to have 3-6 months of 500k banked, Notarised docs etc.. Malaysia is well known for being strict in its' approval compared to other embassies. I applied at probably the 2nd strictest,Taipei so I'm not against strictness per se.
Malaysia requires 6 months of accommodation paid for."Proof of prolonged residence in Thailand for at least six months". There are posts by applicants confirming this.
