Hi all, I am going to Malaysia to apply DTV Visa next week. I have contacted Thai Penang consulate to ask about necessary documents. But they only feedback to check website. When I asked second time like contract specific requirements. They haven’t responded till now.

Has anyone who been to Malaysia successfully got DTV visa could share some details information about it?

Really appreciate it.

how did it go??

I thought it was all done online?

@Zoe ******
no neighbouring counties of Thailand have e-visa system. And you cannot apply from Thailand

ahhhhh I thought the whole purpose of the DTV visa is that it's an Evisa. Interested in the outcome of applying at a neighbouring embassy! Will be doing the same if it's an option.

@Zoe ******
it’s definitely going to be an option soon. But I have not seen any evidence of any being issued yet.

This is exactly the same response from Washington D.C. They are using the same old line, they can not define a valid DTV application, they will know it when they see one.

Make attention in penang. Few years ago they refuse my ed visa!! I paid school already in krabi And I had given them all the documents, they told me that I didn't want to study but I wanted to stay in Thailand, despite the fact that I already had a multi-entry visa for 180 days... Pure madness

@Klaus *****
did you manage to resolve it somehow?

the school gave me the money back but I didn't get my ed visa..

@Klaus *****
okay good they at least did that, most schools say “no refund”.

@Klaus *****
No, I mean, was the consulate correct in their belief that you didn’t plan to study or were they wrong and you actually were planning to study?
Klaus ******
@John ******
What questions do you ask?I had a 180-day multi-entry visa and I wanted to change my visa to learn thai language
John *******
@Klaus *****
- did you push back with the consulate then, since you were going to study Thai?
Klaus ******
@John ******
What? I stop to talk with you.. Read reviews about the royal Thai consulate in Penang
John *******
@Klaus *****
No, I was just asking were you able to push back and convince the consulate to accept your documents for a student visa, or did you just have to accept decision? Just curious if you can supply more paperwork, etc.
Kieran *******
I am heading there on Monday. I sorted a work agreement contract with my employer, will print bank statements, come with the passport photo & that's all I believe. I am not sure what else they will ask, but I'll let you know!
