What should I expect after submitting a workation application with incomplete documentation in Hanoi?

Yes, I made a mistake. No excuses, since I should have read the group posts more carefully.

I submitted a workation application in Hanoi earlier today but now, reading the group, I realised that as "Document indicating current location" I submitted only my hotel reservation document, but not the page of my passport with entry stamp and flight to Hanoi. Did someone receive a request for these additional documents? or is it going to be straight rejection? 🥲

I read for about half hour, but can't find this question.

1st update: indeed like most people told me, I got asked to send the photo of my passport plus another document on the day after I applied and now it’s in “pending approval” since a few days.

Do not put any trust in those “status” in wont tell you anything useful and can change both ways.

Start counting days from when the last document was provided, not the date of application.

Expected processing time you find on the Embassy website.

They wont reject you. They'll just ask for more documentation. Hopefully you get an easy person who might just approve it with the hotel reservation

Will just delay your application. You will be asked for the passport stamp and go back in the line behind the new applicants. It's entirely possible they will ask for other things so it's quite possible that it won't be the sole reason for your delay.

It all depends on the person that checks your application. I. Doubt they will reject you for missing documents but i can happen. Rejections are mostly for mistakes such as errors with passport data etc. Next time check 10 times before submitting the application. I did that and things work out for me. I will attach a copy of a recent application at Hanoi. Send as much information as possible if they request something. If it comes to a rejection please READ AS MANY POSTS AS YOU CAN and include everything. Dont trust the passport reader and recheck everything before you submit

They will request your passport pages, delays your application a bit. Immediate cancelled applications are for biodata errors, rejections are for incomplete/unsubmitted documents after request.
