Question regarding changing from an old passport to a new one:

I have an old and clipped Taiwan passport that's about to expire next April and has a new one issued to me last week. What am I supposed to do when I transfer visa or extension of stay? Also, what else am I supposed to do when I change my passport from old to new?

Thank you very much for helping.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When changing from an old passport to a new one in Thailand, you need to present both the old and new passports to Immigration. The old passport, even if clipped, contains your valid visa or Extension of Stay, which will need to be transferred to your new passport. Ensure you visit the Immigration Office with both documents to complete the process.

The passport is clipped? You mean they cut the corners off to make this an invalid booklet without any use. If you have a valid visa in that booklet, you use both passports to enter and leave Thailand, If you have an Extension of Stay from Immigration you visit the Immigration Office with both passports and they will transfer the valid stamps into your new passport.

You should have a stamp from your embassy at the front basically saying transfer Visa to new passport. If you have time before traveling go to your local immigration department and swap it to the new. 5 minutes and done

Sorry, I really don't know which English word can describe it. One corner is indeed cutoff and I did manage to enter the Kingdom with both passport.

My question is what kind of paperwork do I need to transfer my extension?

Thank you
