Asking a question that is not particular to DTV but on a non O visa . Can someone please advise . My passport expires in June 2026 , and what will happen to a visa that is stamped in my passport which will still be valid ? Can the visa be transferred to my new passport? I have read that the visa lapses with the old passport.. thank you everyone
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the implications of their passport expiring while holding a NON-O visa. They express concern over whether the visa will still be valid after their passport expires in June 2026, and whether it can be transferred to a new passport. Community responses suggest that while visa extensions will align with the passport expiry date, users have recommended that the visa can be transferred to a new passport at the Immigration office.
