Hi,

I have to renew my year long visa stay stamp on 1 dec and a tm 30 receipt is required. My apartment contract ends 30 November and I move on 1 December. If my new landlord does not file the new tm-30 the morning I am to move in, will my previous tm-30 be accepted? Or does the previous landlord cancel it before a new one is filed? Thanks for your advice!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster needs to renew their year-long visa on December 1, but their current apartment contract ends November 30. They are concerned about the necessity of a TM-30 receipt from their new landlord for the visa renewal. They ask if the previous TM-30 will be accepted if the new landlord does not file the TM-30 receipt on the move-in day, and whether the previous landlord cancels it before a new submission.

what's the reason for your extention of stay? If its marriage they may pay a visit and expect to go to the address you submitted.

When does your current extension expire and why do you need to apply for a new extension on Dec 1st?

current expires 19 December but I'm being assisted by help from Thai elite visa office. They made that appointment because my 90 day is up on the 9th so they are covering both. The year extension sticker required several documents including tm-30

hmmm, tricky.

I'd say do your 90 day report AND apply for your year extension with the TM30 that's on file now (using the copy you have) Elite is holding your hand so it'll go right thru.

Then have the new owner file a TM30 for your new address after the 1st

AND

then you use the new address to file the next 90 day report.

That's the way to pull it off with the least problems
