I entered Thailand under visa waiver.
I have had a 30 days extension valid until 15-09-23.
I have applied for a 3 month Non O retirement extension around 20-08.
I have submitted all required documents and paid 2000 thb and be told to come back on 15-09. I was, also told that my application must be reviewed by the regional headquarters.
I have no receipt nor extra stamp in my passport, so If on 15-09 my application has not been approved for some reason should I be ready to leave the country immediately or does immigration will grant a 7 days extension ?
Would it be wise to preventively do a visa run to get another 30 days or would that void my current non-O application ?
Thanks in advance for your advices.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is currently in Thailand on a visa waiver and has applied for a Non-O retirement extension, expected to be reviewed on September 15th. They seek advice on what to do if the application is not approved before their current extension expiry and whether a visa run for an additional 30 days would affect their current application. Commenters generally reassure the user that they should be fine with presenting their application details on the return date. However, they strongly advise against doing a visa run as it would void the Non-O application.
