Hi all, I arrived back in Thailand on the 19 Sept and wish to get a visa extension until the 15 Nov . I was recently here for 3 days as a lay over on a trip to Italy. 13 - 16 Aug. Before that I was in Thailand from 7 Jan to 28 April on a TR-60 extension. I am married to a Thai lady and we have a son both who live in Thailand. I have just read an article that said you are only allowed another visa extension if it is the second time in thailand in one calender year. Does my stopover count ? Have you any ideas? Appreciate your help again. Originally the stopover was 6 hours but they changed the flight six times so could only book an extended stopover.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster returned to Thailand on a free entry and is looking to extend their stay until November 15. They have previously stayed in Thailand with a TR-60 extension and are married to a Thai citizen. They seek clarification on whether their recent stopover affects their eligibility for a visa extension. Responses suggest that the stopover does not count against the number of entries allowed within a calendar year, and they can extend their current visa and apply for a family extension based on their marriage.
