What should I do if my marriage extension application is still under consideration after 7 weeks?

Attended immigration on Monday as consideration period for marriage extn (5th one) was due.

I submitted application on 5.1.23 so more than 7 weeks for a decision but it has not arrived back from Bangkok - io told me to call on Thursday to see if it has arrived.

Would not add anything to my pp in case I was stopped whilst travelling.

Anybody had this issue before or aware of backlog in Bangkok?

Why has this been declined without allowing my question to be answered by wider audience ?

It's totally common for the smaller offices who have to forward paperwork to their head office for approval to have those under consideration stamps run over some times and to my knowledge they never adjust the stamp in your passport 😮

Don't worry you're not on overstay (because that under consideration stamp is actually part of your next yearly extension).

You're fine, wait it out, that's just how it is at those smaller offices. Call Thursday and see if they have the paperwork back or not

I think the post was not approved because it happens a LOT in the smaller offices (less so at the bigger offices)

Nothing you can do, wait it out, call when they say to

Do keep in mind you cannot travel OUT of the country on that stamp once it runs out OR you lose everything and start over from zero 😮
