Hi guys,

Last month I applied marriage extension visa and was given a 1 month consideration stamp which end today. Today morning I went down to immigration and checked the status. They told me they haven’t receive the result yet. Asked me to wait for call and didn’t provide me additional consideration stamp.

So means my passport stamp expired after today. Since the amnesty end at 31 oct.

so actually I’m safe to stay here until 31 October and wait for the result right?

Immigration mentioned just wait for call then come back get stamp.

Anyway I’m in roi et.

Do they have to wait for Bangkok immigration to approve the visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is concerned about their marriage extension visa application status after receiving a one-month consideration stamp that has now expired without receiving any further updates from immigration. They want to confirm if they are allowed to stay in Thailand until the decision is made, especially since the amnesty period ends on October 31. Community responses reassure them that it is common for immigration to take time for approvals and that they are safe to remain until they receive a call from the immigration office or until the end of the amnesty period.

I’m sure you’ll be okay, normally for family reasons you will be safe to stay with your wife, don’t worry. Just check in with immigration as they ask you to. You can definitely stay no problem until 31 oct. or until you get your extension approved. Good luck and please don’t stress out 😊❤️🥰

I did mine in June at the height of this mess. They didn’t call me until August. All was good, but they did back date it at June. Was hoping the year would start in August. Oh well

The same thing happened to me in March before all the Covid stuff happened. It was about 7-8 days past the expiring “under consideration” stamp that they told me it was ready.

Funny thing is when we went to the office to get it they said it was ready for a while and they missed it when we called.

In the Ubon office they sent it to a regional office for approval. I’m sure you are the same.

actually you're totally okay until the tell you to come back.

That "under consideration" stamp is the first month of the new year extension, you won't be on overstay or anything.

If they said they'll call you, they will, you'll be okay don't worry. It actually happens quite a lot
