RE: transfer visa stamp from old passport to new

Hello~ my daughter's passport expired...I got a new passport for her in CM. I asked my immigration office in Pai to transfer her visa from her old passport to new. They said they cannot because her old visa is Overstay (she is 4.5 years old). They said I can bring both passports to the airport when I leave, and everything should be okay. Anyone have this experience or suggestions? Thanks~

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user faced an issue transferring their child's visa from an expired passport to a new one due to an overstay situation. The immigration office advised that bringing both passports to the airport upon departure would be acceptable, and that the child would not incur a fine due to being under 14. Community members suggested following the immigration office's instructions.

Just do as the Thai Immigration office told you. Take both passports with a when you and your daughter depart Thailand at the airport. They will stamp your daughter out of Thailand and will note that she was on OVERSTAY with a waiver of fine, as she is age 14 or under.
