I am based in Bangkok hold a Marriage Visa (extension) and re-entry permit in my original Passport - I recently returned from a 3 week UK and completed my TM30 and TDAC on my passport - however I have now obtained a new UK Passport.
When completing my TM47 I believe that I complete it with my new Passport number/details but take my old passport with me and provide copies of both?
Do I have to submit a new TM30 to reflect my new passport number or do I submit the one raised on my re-entry to Thailand?
Do I get my Visa and re-entry permit transferred to my new passport now or wait until I am due to submit my next annual extension (May/June).
Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on immigration procedures after renewing their UK passport while on a Marriage Visa in Thailand. They have completed the TM30 for their old passport and inquire whether to use their new passport information when filling out the TM47 and if a new TM30 is necessary. Additionally, they ask about the timing of transferring their visa and re-entry permit to the new passport. Commenters provide insights based on personal experiences, emphasizing the need to update forms promptly, the correct filing procedures for 90-day reports, and the appropriate immigration office to visit.

I was recently in that exact same situation and when returning, I spoke with the immigration officer at the Suvarmabhumi airport. I asked, can I go and do the 90 day report anywhere in the country or do I need to use the same immigratin office that provided me with my Non-O visa? And I also asked what is the time window for transferring my visa to my new pasport?
They answered: You have to do the 90 day report according to your TM 30, so in the immigration office of that area ONLY, it does not matter which office granted the visa in the first place. And, you can transfer your visa to your new passport any time before you apply the 1 year extension. They recommended I did that at the same time with my 90 day report.
I double checked to make sure I understood 100% and yes indeed, that was what they told me.
you need to get the stamps transferred before you do a 90 day report because you have to use the new passport for the 90 day reporting if you entered on it ๐
Be careful trusting passport control officers <- whose only job is to stamp you in and out of the country, about ANYTHING to do with stuff at your immigration office, because they are not the same type of officers
So can I ask your educated opinion of this, please? I got my Non-O visa in Bangkok but I now reside in Chiang Mai (so my TM 30 is in CM at the monment). Can I do my 90 day report in CM or do I need to fly to Bangkok?
you already moved, filed a TM30 at the office in your new area so you can now do 90 day reporting and get your next extension thru that office (the one that serves the area where you live now)
Thank you so much, this is indeed my current situation and have to go do it very soon. I feel 100% sure of the procedure now :)

I just did exactly that, update everything with new PP number and transfer stamps to new PP.

**Your first 90 day report (due 89 days after returning to the country) has to be in person
**You will use the NEW passport number on the TM47 form
**You should file a new TM30 with the new passport number
When you go to Chaengwattana to file the 90 day report on the 3rd floor of the Building B government complex you can also go down to the 2nd floor in section L-1 and get the extension stamps/re-entry permit (if you got it at Chaengwattana) moved to the new passport <- do not wait until your next extension to do that.
This is the form you need to transfer stamps to a new passport in Bangkok at Chaengwattana
, many many thanks for the information - I have an appointment first thing in the morning so will have time to get stamps transferred - thank you. ๐
